The听Acute听Effect of Exercise on Appetite Regulation in Hot and Cold Environmental Conditions in Humans

Abstract

Strategies to prevent and treat overweight and obesity are required to reduce the prevalence of cardiometabolic disease.听Reducing energy intake is a key component of achieving a negative energy balance, and will contribute to weight loss if maintained.听Heat and exercise have both been shown to attenuate hunger and energy intake in the short term. Thus, this study aims to investigate鈥痶he acute effect of exercise performed in different environmental temperatures on gut hormone concentrations and听subsequent energy intake.
