Student Radio Awards

A judge commented: 鈥淚 chose the Luton LAB project as the top choice, because I felt it represented the most selfless sharing of skills and expertise with a local community. Training other young people in radio, and giving up two weeks of airtime to them, I thought was fantastic.鈥

Upon receiving the award, Radio LaB co-ordinator Terry Lee said: 鈥淎s a community radio station, Radio LaB is always looking for ways to work directly with Luton鈥檚 young people.

鈥淚f other Luton schools, colleges or youth organisations are looking to develop their own audio projects we鈥檇 be keen to hear from them. Winning this award is fantastic recognition for us. We look forward to working with Luton Sixth Form on the next 鈥橳akeover鈥 in June.鈥
