The nomination for Best Sports Programming is in recognition of the team鈥檚 9-hour broadcast keeping listeners up to date with the Varsity 2023 competition, which was hosted at the University鈥檚 Bedford campus. It comes just weeks after the received two nods at the .

Final-year Radio & Audio student and current Radio LaB station manager, Nataya Woolnough, said: 鈥淚t is amazing to be shortlisted for the Student Radio Awards. All of the Radio LaB team worked incredibly hard to make sure that our Varsity coverage was the best it could be and this shows that our hard work has paid off. We focused on the quality of our production, using skills we鈥檝e been learning to create a great listening experience for everyone trying to follow the event in Luton.鈥�

The Radio LaB team are no strangers to recognition at the , with numerous students and alumni being nominated for their work over the years. Last year, the SRA Chart Show programme in the 鈥楤est Chart Show Programming鈥� category.

Speaking about this year鈥檚 nomination, Terry Lee 鈥� Senior Tutor in Radio & Audio and co-ordinator of Radio LaB 鈥� added: 鈥淭he big challenge for the students for this Varsity coverage was that, despite 台湾六合彩开奖记录 being the home team, Radio LaB had to broadcast away from our usual campus! This 鈥榓way-day鈥� atmosphere did add to the upbeat feel of the broadcast. I was really proud of the work of the students on the day, and I鈥檓 so pleased the SRA has recognised the students in this nomination.鈥�

Looking to add to their impressive trophy cabinet, Radio LaB were nominated earlier this month for two Community Radio Awards, also in recognition of their Varsity programming.
