Professor Charles Egbu, Vice-Chancellor at Leeds Trinity University, will be speaking at an event hosted by the ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ to mark Black History Month.

A member of the ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼’s Aspire Higher team – which works to strengthen the link between the University and school-age children in the area – has been chosen to deliver a presentation at a regional education conference.

Professor David Olusoga, OBE, is set to deliver an insightful public lecture as part of the ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼’s celebrations for this year’s Black History Month – a powerful and significant national event now widely recognised as an integral part of British culture and history.

The ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ has partnered with Central ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Council (CBC) to support the ‘Central ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Productivity Programme’, which aims to help local businesses.

A popular podcast created by a ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ lecturer has returned for a fourth series, boasting a variety of industry guests from platforms including KISS FM, BBC 5 live, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Three Counties radio.

The ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ is hosting its sixth annual ISPAR conference based around the theme of ‘Improvement Through Movement: Performance, health and wellbeing across the lifespan’.

As the NHS promotes Organ Donation Week in the UK (20-26th September), an international student from the ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ has snapped up a top research award for his PhD investigating organ donation in Indian communities.

Two students from the ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ have been offered Teaching Assistant roles at local education institutions after taking part in an English language tutoring project.
